Goals by 2016

My husband and I sat down last night to go over our goals for the next 5 years. We came up with a steep list, but with God's grace we should be able to complete them.
-Have Student Loans Paid off
- Be in a bigger house
- Have at least 5% downpayment for house
- At least $10,000 in saving for emergencies
- At least $10,000 in Chris's Retirement
- At least $20,000 in Ashley's Retirement
- To remain consumer debt free
- At least $5,000 in Ryley's saving
- At least $5,000 in travel/home improvement savings
I know that it will take a lot of planning and frugal living, but we should be able to pull it off.

Starting Fresh!

I started this blog in 2009 to help people stay under a budget, but I think that it would be better place for me to share my journey of staying frugal and under budget.

A little background:
I have been married for almost 4 years and my husband and I brought our first child into the world in December of 2010. One of our goals when having children is not to put them in daycare. We have been successful with that. I work, while my husband stays home. My husband is going back to school for his nursing degree, which doesn't allow much time to work outside of taking care of our son.

So this will be a blog about our journey working under a budget.
